Escambia County RSVP engages people age 55 and over who have time, energy, and a desire to volunteer in their community.  Volunteering with Escambia County RSVP provides a positive impact in the community and increases the volunteer’s emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well being.  Other benefits include liability and accident insurance, stipends, mileage reimbursement and transportation for selected opportunities as well as free college courses through Leadership Institute for Older Adults and a chance to serve on the Advisory Council.

Our program serves a small low-income/low educated rural community. We provide services ranging from transportation for the elderly and disabled, working with a charitable pharmacy to help residents receive free medications or get their medications for little to no cost through pharmaceutical companies, to tutoring adults to read through an Adult Literacy program and provide Caring Teams through Faith Based Organizations.  We utilize volunteers from age 55 on up who are eager to make a difference in their community.
