The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Southwest Alabama consists of six rural counties spanning an estimated radius of 6,000 square miles. These counties are strategically located within 100 miles of the Gulf Coast. Our program addresses senior’s nutritional, safety, emotional, and social needs as well as child literacy. Volunteers are placed in schools, hospitals, senior centers, and nursing homes/assisted living facilities as well as other non-profit organizations.
