Calhoun County RSVP started in Feb. 1973 under the sponsorship of the City of Jacksonville. In our service area, nearly 380 volunteers give over 41,000 hours of service each year. RSVP matches volunteers with community needs. We base our referrals on the volunteer’s talents, experience, interest and availability; the volunteers get to choose the hours, days, and times they are available to work. By sharing the experience of a lifetime, you keep your body active, your mind sharp, and your spirit alive as you performs vital roles in the community. The volunteer jobs you do help to improve the quality of life for many people in many ways.
