We are very involved with disaster awareness. RSVP of Barbour has been a part of emergency shelters for the past 30 years. Connected to this is blood drives with American Red Cross. The emergency shelter has a roster of the volunteers and the hours each served. This is verified by the emergency shelter manger. This is also true with the blood drives. Rosters are in place for the volunteers with the head nurse signing off on it.

RSVP of Barbour County is a big part of the youth programs with the extension system. The activities with the volunteers are recorded by the extension agent. This includes 4-H clubs, boys and girls club, etc.
